Caffeic Acid is for temporary relief of sinus congestion, headache, indigestion, joint pains, and dizziness. This phenolic is found in a wide variety of plants. It is a hydroxylase of cinnamic acid; therefore, any plant containing caffeic acid would also have to contain cinnamic acid in its tissue. It is a major constituent in coffee and an artifact of metabolism to chlorogenic acid in potatoes and many other vegetables.
