Black Cohosh

Trans-Resveratrol
Resveratrol, a polyphenol found in grapes and red wine, has been shown to have an effect on free radical scavenging and antioxidant properties in various tissues. Similar in structure to estrogen, trans-resveratrol provides a range of supportive activities including hormonal balance and promoting normal inflammatory balance.
Licorice Root Extract
The active components of licorice root include glycyrrhizin and isoflavones. Licorice root’s isoflavones have been shown to exert a balancing effect on estrogen levels. When estrogen levels are too high, it will inhibit estrogen action, and when estrogen are too low, it will increase estrogen action.
Gamma Oryzanol
Gamma oryzanol (ferulic acid) is a natural compound extracted from rice bran oil. Gamma oryzanol was first shown to be effective for relieving hot flashes in the early 1960s. A recent study of 40 women given a dose of 300 mg/day of gamma oryzanol showed a reduction in menopausal symptoms in 85% of female subjects.
