Tocotrienols (60 C) by Biotics Research
Tocotrienols provides a source of tocotrienols and natural vitamin E, both of which possess significant antioxidant properties. Vitamin E is not a single compound, but rather a mixture of 8 isomers – consisting of 4 tocopherols (α, β, γ, δ) and 4 tocotrienols (α, β, γ, δ). Although both tocotrienols and Vitamin E possess antioxidant properties, they have different functions. Supplemental tocotrienols have been demonstrated to reduce blood levels of lipid peroxides (measured as TBARS- thiobarbituric acid reactive substances) with an apparent improvement in blood flow. They have also been demonstrated to enhance immune function in animals, as well as to possess neuroprotective effects, as noted by their ability to improve the age-related decline in T cell function.
